Custom Boring Service

If you already have a SF body and want it customized to accept 18mm cells, providing maximum flexibility and runtime, we will bore select SureFire® models. This is done once every 6 weeks or so, in a batch process with everyone in the batch sending in their lights at th same time.

Standard Process

This works in three easy steps:

1. Contact Us, listing which body style you want to modify.
2. Wait for the invitation with link to the page to document your model and serial number, choose any upgrades for bezels and tailcaps for each body you wish to have bored, add any accessories for each body you wish to have bored, and complete your transaction.
3. Then mail us your body and any bezels or tailcaps to be upgraded.

3rd Party Shipment, Inspection, & Storage ($8.00)

We will accept direct shipment of a light you purchase elsewhere.

1. Make arrangements to purchase your light from a 3rd party.
2. Reply to this page, listing what you want to modify.
3. Send us the 3rd party's contact info and body serial number.
4. They ship your purchase to us.
5. We receive and inspect your new light, reporting on its configuration and condition.
6. Then inventory and individually store your purchase until the next bore batch.

FAQ

Can I upgrade my parts to those shown on your site?
Bezel, body, and tailcap components may be added to your order and will be installed for you after cleaning and before shipping.

What's the new inside diameter?
All bodies are bored to an inside diameter of 18.65mm (funny coincidence with the # 18650 but not related at all)

Will you bore my light to a different diameter?
We do no offer other sized boring options at this time. Changing sizes requires as much effort as starting another batch.

Will my modified light work with the new 2600mAh cells?
As shown here, these lights are meant to work with AW's incredible 2600mah 18650. However, there are minor cell to cell variations, so while most (90+%) easily fit: In the case of fatter cells, removing the label should allow them to freely slide in and out.
