Most BOSS parts are made with a 5 axis CNC. Every angle, curve and channel cut from larger chunks of metal. We then put those parts though an extensive mechanical smoothing process, yielding the raw, frosted, satin, and patina finishes for which we are renowned.
But the parts come off the cutter with a character all their own, with fingerprints of the tools that made them. Gently buffed with hand work, you can still see how each was made:
Assembled into finished lights, the result is our new Machined Titanium 35 and 70:
